Sympathy of Europarks grantees from Israel wowed the Disneyland Main Stage audience yesterday. The hall burst into applause after each number. A lot of shouts of “Bravo” called the young artists to repeated bows. The organizers of the festival presented the participants with medals, diplomas and the Sympathy of Europarks Grand Prix.
Grants for 2024 can be received at the Best World Dance Group competition in the autumn-winter 2023-2024 season.

XIX year of the festival “Holiday of Spring – 2023” as always, became the main dance event for children and youth of the Spring 2023 season.
The Best World Dance Group competition has been an important part of the festival for the past 4 years.
The semi-final of the Best World Dance Group was watched by the entire sold-out hall of the Prague Rok-Opera Theater on March 25. The 700-seat Atrium watched the performers of the Best World Dance Group competition. The wonderful atmosphere, the support of the audience, the magical lights helped the various categories and nominations to show their best performances of the season.
Unique in the Czech Republic, the Best World Dance Group Disney-format competition aims to show dance as an art, to give talented children and youth the opportunity to feel part of a dance performance with expression and movement, ideas that will captivate the audience.
But, of course, the Best World Dance Competition is primarily about interesting choreography performed at a high level.
Therefore, as always, the judges of the Best World Dance Group are world-renowned dance personalities:
1. Dmytro Tenytskyy – Soloist of Ballet ND Praha, Soloist The unique production Kylián – Bridges of Time presents the works of the famous Czech native Jiří Kylián, who undoubtedly became an icon of world modern choreography.
2. Kateřina Radinova Honored artist of Ukraine. She graduated from the Kyiv Choreography School 2 classes earlier than Svetlana Zakharova. Soloist of the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theater. Prima ballerina in the performances “Swan Lake”, “Sleeping Rose”, “Giselle”, “The Nutcracker”, “Fox Painting.” Today, Kateřina Radionova is a teacher at the Prague Dance Conservatory.
3. Federico Ievoli A native of Naples, he received his education at the dance school at La Scala in Italy. As a dancer, he was engaged in the Balletto di Siena under the direction of Marco Batti (2011-2015), where he was appointed soloist in 2013. In 2015, he became a member of the National Theater Ballet, where he worked his way up from the chorus to the position of first soloist, to which he was appointed in April 2021. From the most important roles in the repertoire of modern dance and neoclassical choreographies such as Serenade (G. Balanchine), Gods and Dogs, Petite Mort, Bella Figura, Psalm Symphony (J. Kylián), and many others.

On January 8, the final Best World Dance Group of the competition will be held in the historical expanses of Prague.
Traditionally, the final of the Best World Dance competition is held as part of the 18th season of the Winter Tale festival.
The competition and festival are unique in that they take place in the format of French Disneyland.
The most important criterion for any performance is an interesting spectacle. That’s why you can see a lot of dance styles at the BWDG competition: Ballet, contemporary, scenic and expressive dance, jazz dance, street dance, show dance, Sports dance.
The main intrigue of the final of the Best World Dance competition is always whether the jury will award the Grand Prix and determine the main winner of the competition. Grants are also awarded to winners in age categories and styles.
Grants are used to participate in the Sympathy of Europarks festival at Disneyland Paris.
The long-term president of the jury is the meritorious artist Prima ballerina ND (1979-1986)

Judging is done digitally, allowing coaches, participants and fans to see results immediately.

The DANCE EMOTION team from Lysá nad Labem, which has already visited the Symphatie Europark festival and performed at Disneyland, will participate in the finale of this season on 01.08.2023.

The jury is formed to evaluate the performances. It includes well-known cultural figures of Europe: professional directors, dancers, choreographers, experienced teachers, writers, artists, musicians.

Miroslava Peshikova is a popular artist of the Czech Republic, prima ballerina of the most famous world venues:
the Paris Opera, the Vienna Opera, the Prague National Theater, the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow.
Petr Zuska – Dancer, choreographer, artistic director of the ballet of the National Theater in Prague. From 1990 to 2016, he staged choreographic projects for: Hamburg Ballett, Ballet Augsburg, Semperoper in Dresden, Latvian National Opera in Riga, Mariinsky Theater, Royal Danish Ballet, West Australian Ballet in Perth, Finnish National Ballet, Boston Ballet, etc.
Shimon Kuban is a dancer, choreographer, teacher. In 2012 he founded the dance company “Sandalfon”. The winner of the choreographic contest in Bytom (Poland).
Since 2015, he dances in the ballet “Rusalka” at the National Theater of Prague.
From 2018 is performing in Berlin national opera house.
Katerina Rodionova – Honored Artist of Ukraine. She performed main parts in the Kiev Opera Theater in ballets: Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty.
Today Katerina is the teacher of the Prague Dance Conservatory, the director of the festivals of the International Youth Forum.
Sergei Skalikov – graduated from the Academy of Arts in Moscow. He has many years of experience in the dance field.
In 2002 he started to work in the South Bohemian Theater as a choreographer and choreographer. In 2005 he opened a ballet school in Cheshski Budejovice.
Leon Kvasnitsova danced in the band Uno, later founded her own band IF, and then opened her studio called Dancehouse in Prague.
She has staged choreography for the musicals Excalibur and Galileo, as well as several TV shows (for example, the Czech Republic is looking for SuperStar or the third season of StarDance).

Jan Maria Dobrodinsky – Professor of the Choral Conducting Department, composer, conductor of the Academy of Bratislava. Honored conductor of the Bratislava Philharmonic.
He is the recipient of the honorable award of the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The owner of the premium Bedrich Smetana.
David Lukash is a musician, composer, conductor. Head of the Chamber Orchestra of Talić.
In 2011 he became the conductor of the Litomyšl Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, he worked with the Czech Symphony Orchestra in Prague.
David Cody – Director, actor, singer, host of concerts at festivals in Prague, Teplice, in Czech Budejovice.
Yarmila Gadrabova – during her creative career, she collaborated with various musical groups: the orchestra Puellarum Pragensis, Musica Bohemica, Prague Royal Orchestra. With the symphony orchestra of Dvorak, during 2001-2008, she played opera performances at the summer festival in Bad Gersfeld and concerts of baroque music. She successfully taught at music schools in Bystrica near Hostynem, Chlomtse nad Cidlina and in Prague Gostevarje, and also has special techniques developed for adults. In 2018, Yarmila Gadrabova accepted the offer to teach at the International Conservatory in Prague.
Adolf Melihar – acted as a correspondent of the Musical Theater Karlin and Chorus Master of the State Opera. Currently he works as a choirmaster and assistant conductor at the Prague State Opera.
Artistic director of the temple building of Prague-Břevnova and often collaborates with the Prague Chamber Choir, especially in the study of classical operatic works.
Damir Basyrov – He graduated with honors from the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory. In 2016 he was awarded a state medal for outstanding contribution to the culture of the Russian Federation.
