Thank You to the Performers for the Wonderful Acts at Best World Dance Group 26.10.2024
The Best World Dance Group competition is part of the XXI “Autumn Fairy Tale” festival and has a thematic direction that challenges the preparation of choreography. Creating a performance that aligns with the festival’s name isn’t an easy task. However, experienced leaders of dance groups skillfully met this challenge, and the City Hall of Prague was beautifully adorned with a fairytale atmosphere.
The esteemed jury, comprising Šimon Kubáň, Magdalena Matejková, and Kateřina Rodionová, was impressed with many of the performances. The highest awards in the group competition were given to:
- Sabat Boso – winner in the Show Dance category, age group 10–12 years, choreographer: Miriam Šupenová
- Girlfriends – winner in the Show Dance category, age group 13–15 years, choreographer: Monika Ondrášková
- Voda – winner in the Expression Dance category, age group 16–19 years, choreographer: Dagmar Kuběnová
- Barvy noci – winner in the Contemporary category, choreographer: Monika Fodorová
- Horehronský dupák – winner in the Folklore category, age group Mixed Group, choreographer: Dagmar Kuběnová
- GRAND PRIX Best World Dance Group 26.10.24 – Stick Dance, choreographer: Dagmar Kuběnová
Solo, duo, and trio performances were also presented at a high level. The highest 10 points were awarded to:
- FIRE ON FIRE – winner in the Contemporary category, age group 6–9 years, choreographer: Veronika Votavová
- Rolnička – winner in the Ballet category, age group 6–9 years, choreographer: Olga Kyndlová
- Marco Spada Variation – winner in the Ballet category, age group 6–9 years, choreographer: Olga Kyndlová
- How to Say Goodbye – winner in the Contemporary category, age group 16–19 years, choreographer: Iva Koptíková
- GRAND PRIX Best World Dance Group 26.10.24 Solo/Duo/Trio – MAGNETIC, age group 16–19 years, choreographer: Iva Koptíková
We look forward to welcoming the groups who want to compete for a monetary grant for the best choreography in Brno on 30.11.2024. You can receive a discount if you submit the start list by 5.11.2024!
