the History of Best World Dance Group championship

In 1998, Ludmila Zuravleva began leading active programs for children and youth. These cultural projects quickly caught the attention of creative directors from various countries. The dance and musical components of these projects featured stars of the Czech stage, such as Miroslava Pesikova and Jan Mario Dobrodinsky.

In 2004, the first international youth festivals

were held in Český Krumlov, including:

Internation Festival “Czech Fairy Tale”

a choreographic festival

Internation Festival “Metamorphosis of Castles”

a music and dance festival

Internation Festival “Rainbow”

a folklore festival

Internation Festival "Holiday of Time"

a contemporary art festival

from 2006

the festivals expanded into multi-genre international events, held in Teplice

by 2008

festivals moved to Prague, hosted at the Vinohrady Cultural House in Prague

in 2009

festivals took place at the Vinohrady Theater in Prague

in 2011

the festivals grew significantly, with around 5,000 participants. The gala concerts were moved to the grand stage of the Congress Hall at Vyshehrad, Prague

2012-2014

summer festivals were held in Southern Bohemia and at the Italian resort of Rimini

in 2015

the festivals and competitions were held at the Hybernia theater stage in Prague

in 2016

A grant program World of Youth was launched, where winners performed in front of 2,000 spectators on cruise liners

in 2017

the winners were invited to perform at the largest international festival in China

in 2019

the European Youth Forum was established, and the Best World Dance Group competition became an independent dance champioship

2020-2021

the Best World Dance Group was held in the Czech Republic and conducted online due to global lockdown

2022-2023

the winners of the Best World Dance Group performed on the stage at Disneyland Paris during the Sympathy of Europarks festival

2024-2025

winners of the Best World Dance Group will showcase their best performances on the Disneyland stage at the Sympathy of Europarks festival and on the cruise stages of the World of Youth festivals
